Lecture at Australian Geographic's HQ, Sydney. Tues 13th July, we were the guest speakers for the night as part of the Australian Geographic Societies 'Great Lecture' series. We presented a 1.5hr talk / slideshow on our journey to a paying public at AG's lecture theatre. It was very well received, and to top the night off, we were invited to sign Australian Geographic’s "Explorers Wall" - add our signature and pic of us signing the wall along side those of Dick Smith, Don & Margie McIntyre, Joe Simpson (‘Touching the void'), Antarctic explorers and other famous names.

Young Adventurer Of the Year we were flown down and presented with the prestigious award from the Australian Geographic Society, in a ceremony at Federation Square in Melbourne, 9th June 2004. We both received a gold medallion.

The Manly Daily, a Northern Sydney newspaper (the largest suburban daily newspaper in the world), published this news article entitled 'Adventurers on trek for gold', on Thurs 11th June 2004 detailing our 'Young Adventurer of the Year' award, illustrated with a photograph from our hike.
