NEW VIDEO and welcome to a new sponsor! [7th Dec 11] See below for comments (9)
Hey everyone!
We have finally finished video update #7 "Sailing up the coast of Greenland" – Which includes some truly breathtaking scenery, Teleport sailing behind huge arched burgs, icebergs rolling over and some of the beautiful landscape and communities we visited along the way! The video is embedded at the bottom of this update! Enjoy!
We would like to welcome a new sponsor onboard too - Dr Shrink - a company dedicated to providing premium shrink-wrapping installation and supplies to protect things from the elements. So that means next time we leave Teleport in a harsh environment for an extended period of time we can be confident that she’ll be well protected from the elements! No more wrapping her in a couple of tarps and crossing our fingers!
Chris and I have been keeping ourselves very busy these past few months running 1 Day Photography courses all around Australia and also a two week photographic Safari to the Galapagos Islands! It was an amazing experience - giant tortoises, iguanas, frigatebirds, and snorkeling with sea lions, white tipped reef sharks, sea turtles and tropical fish – truly unbelievable! In a few more weeks we'll be off to Kenya to run two, two week photographic Safaris there too – should be amazing! Keep an eye on our photography website www.ChrisBray.net and our Photographic Facebook Group too, as we'll post some pics up as we go.
One of our previous sponsors, Southwest Windpower, makers of our awesome Air Breeze wind turbine have taken the great initiative to actually use lots of our videos and photos in helping promote this great product! We've even made a little video about our experiences powering our journey with their system. Take a look - embedded below our latest video update, or on their own website HERE!
With Christmas just around the corner, we just wanted to quickly remind you that Chris’s book "The 1000 Hour Day" is for sale on his website.... It’s an adventure book about Chris and his best mate Clark's journey to walk across the 9th largest Island in the world, Victoria Island (where Teleport is now.), it took them two attempts over 3 years, and a total of 128 gruelling days out there, and was one hell of an adventure. The book also just got into the finals for the Banff MountainAdventure Book Festival too - yay! If you buy it online through Chris's website, we'll gift wrap it for free if you like, autograph it and we can post it any where in the world!!
According to our good friends in Cambridge Bay, Victoria Island, Teleport is weathering well, despite there having been a lot of blizzards already! Here's a great little photo of Teleport wrapped in her cradle on the outskirts of Cambridge Bay, photo taken from a plane by our mate Corey Dimitruk! Thanks!
Enjoy the latest video update, and we'll release the next segment - where we venture into the infamous Northwest Passage - as soon as we can.
The latest video should appear embedded below, but failing that, you can find it on our VIDEOS page - click the VIDEOS button above =)
OH - and STOP PRESS - I don't know if any of you can even speak German, but on the off-chance you can, you might enjoy watching this little mini documentary PART 1 and this little mini documentary PART 2 that some German 'Yacht TV' online TV channel edited together from our footage. I hope it's saying good things? Anyone? =)
We hope you're all well, and have an amazing Christmas - enjoy the festive season!!
Over and out,
Chris and Jess

All good stuff on the german appearance: how setback can be overcome by willpower, perseverance, ingenuity and good humour. And what a great voyage it is! (Offensive Comment?)

Robert F....that is what has captivated me as well. Worked on the NWS (former DEWLine) in the 80's-90's from Coast to Coast. These two are in for one heck of a ride. (Offensive Comment?)
