Canberra’s “first class” Photography Course [27th Jul 10]
|
We ran our very first one day Photography course in Canberra on the weekend, held at the prestigious National Botanical Gardens. We asked one of our attendees to write a review for us, thanks Steve :)
“I was invited to take part in the course by my employer, who has asked me to do some part time media work for the organisation.
I have been supplied with a camera, a Nikon D5000, which I believe is a good quality beginners SLR.
I have not had a lot of experience with photography but h...READ MORE >> |
Escape with ET – a day of filming [19th Jul 10]
|
“When it comes to taking photos, most of us just point and shoot. And if you’re like me, you don’t even know what half of these buttons do! But even the simplest SLR cameras have a whole world of untapped technology just waiting for you to play with.” Says Andrew Ettingshausen AKA ‘ET’ (rugby league legend turned outdoor/fishing show host/producer ‘Escape with ET’)
And that’s where I came in – I spent an entire day out on ET’s boat explaining different types of cameras, some of the simple fun...READ MORE >> |
We have a winner [19th Jul 10]
|
A while back on www.ChrisBray.net over 300 people filled in our online survey asking questions like how they found out about the site to go in the draw to win a lowepro Primus AW camera backpack. Well – as promised we randomly picked a name last week and ‘Renee’ from Sydney is now the proud owner of a new camera bag! She seems a (random) but deserving winner, writing back to us saying “Wow...I never win anything, that’s fantastic...thanks!” So well done Renee, and thanks to all those who filled ...READ MORE >> |

A delightful bunch of ‘Creative Memories’ ladies (and gentleman) booked us for a private Photography Course at Melbourne Zoo on Monday the 12th of July. We asked Julie to write a little review for us – thanks Julie:

Melbourne's Sunday Photography Course [19th Jul 10]
|
“The world is a great canvas for photography. I feel more empowered and confident to take on the world in my future travels with my new SLR thanks to this great course. Thanks Chris and Jess”
Could not have said it more ‘poetically’ my self – Jess and I had a fantastic day on Sunday, everyone was just as enthused about photography as I am and the vibe of the room was buzzing after every theory session to go out and practice all the new techniques, buttons and modes.
All in all it was a g...READ MORE >> |
Melbourne Photography Course Saturday [19th Jul 10]
|
Saturday’s Photography Course at Melbourne zoo was a “Great Day” – We had people travel from as far as Brisbane and Sydney to join us. The day kicked off nice and early, and soon everyone was immersed in learning all about their different camera modes and putting it all into practice during the practical sessions. Near the end of the day I gave everyone an ‘Assignment’– they have 40mins to complete a particular ‘brief’, everyone submitted one photograph and a winner was voted. All the photogra...READ MORE >> |

Auckland’s Photography Course at Butterfly Creek was “Amazing” – Check out the review below from one of the course attendees!
“I am a keen, but novice photographer, & I love taking photos of my family & friends & our little adventures on my compact camera. I have been wanting to learn how to take better photos, and so I have been looking at a few courses recently, but being a Mum & running a business means I don’t have a lot of spare time. I wanted to find something that was a bit more in-de...READ MORE >> |
