Corporate and Motivational Speaking
Expeditions illustrate perfectly the importance of goal-setting, perseverance, self-motivation, teamwork & leadership, overcoming setbacks, confidence and ambition.
In the current economic downturn, the pressure is on for businesses to perform better, to face new challenges, to keep up employee morale, and somehow increase productivity and keep moving forward. By having me speak at a corporate function for you, apart from sharing the motivation inherently intertwined in a good old fashioned adventure, I can help give your staff a bit of a boost, explaining how I have faced and learnt to overcome or cope with many of the challenges they face now, paralleled in an exciting, inspiring and often humorous tale of adventure.
Having presented at leadership camps, lecture tours, universities, primary and high schools, outdoor festivals and expos, staff training evenings, citizenship ceremonies, corporate events and even sell-out and repeat public lectures - I have experience in everything from short 20 minute talks through to 90 minute presentations complete with multimedia slideshow and video clips from my journeys. I am happy to tailor my speech to suit specific needs and interests of any particular group and all carry an underlying motivational, educational, inspirational and entertaining while serious theme.
If you'd be interested to have me speak for your corporate function, school or any other group, please contact me to discuss pricing and availability.

Talks for Schools:
Having only just left the education system myself, I find students relate easily to me. Not only can they draw parallels with their own challenges, but it encourages them to consider that there’s no time like the present and they too can realise their dreams earlier in life.
HSC English focus area 'Belonging':
My expedition partner Clark and I have put together a presentation specifically to offer HSC English students a unique insight into the sense of belonging and not-belonging that expeditions like this involve. The transition from feeling completely alienated and vulnerable at the start of a journey through to finally feeling at home, only then to be whisked back to civilisation and the dislocation this involves. Designed for the 2009+ NSW HSC English curriculum's focus on ‘Belonging’. This has been a great success, with Chris and Clark speaking to over 2,500 HSC students at an 'Area of Study' conference in Sydney etc.
