In a surprise Email the other day from Dick Smith - famous Aussie adventurer / entrepreneur, he said that he'd like to put some funds towards Jess and my upcoming yacht expedition, to sail our little 29' junk rig yacht Teleport home from Halifax, Canada, via the Northwest Passage in the arctic....
Thanks very much Dick! You're always an inspiration! Guess I'd better get cracking on a website for this trip to put the logo on hey... I haven't even formally started looking for sponsors yet, so this early input is very encouraging, thanks again!
Dick, through his company 'Dick Smith Foods' champions 'Australian made/owned' foods, fighting back against overseas purchases of some of our iconic food brands such as Vegemite etc by bringing out his own range, entirely Aussie! Good on you mate!
